Privacy policy
Note
This is a short English summary. The German version below is the legally binding one; in case of doubt, the German text applies.
1. Controller
Ratskeller Wildeshausen, owner Florian Spichalski, Am Markt 1a, 27793 Wildeshausen, Germany. Phone +49 4431 7068800, e-mail info@ratskellerwildeshausen.de.
2. Summary
This is an information-only website. We use no cookies for analytics or advertising, no tracking tools and no contact form. Personal data is processed only technically when pages are accessed, and when you call us, write to us or book a table.
3. Hosting and server log files
The website is hosted by Strato AG, Pascalstraße 10, 10587 Berlin, Germany. The servers are located in Germany. When you open a page, the web server automatically records the data your browser transmits: IP address, date and time, requested file, amount of data transferred, referrer, browser and operating system. This serves technical operation, security and error analysis (Art. 6 (1) f GDPR). The log files are deleted after a short period and are not combined with other data. A data processing agreement according to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.
4. Contact
If you call or e-mail us, we process the details you provide in order to handle your request (Art. 6 (1) b and f GDPR). Data is deleted once it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Table reservations via GastroGuide
For online reservations we use GastroGuide. Clicking the "Book a table" button takes you to the provider's pages, where the data you enter is processed by that provider (Art. 6 (1) b GDPR). Their own privacy policy applies there.
6. Fonts and external links
All fonts are served from our own server — no connection to Google Fonts is made. We only link to OpenStreetMap, Instagram, Facebook and press articles; those providers receive data once you click a link, not when the page loads. No maps, videos or social media feeds are embedded.
7. Opening hours from a Google spreadsheet
We keep our opening hours in a spreadsheet hosted by Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). When you open a home page, your browser fetches that spreadsheet directly from Google (docs.google.com) so you always see the current times. This transmits your IP address, the time and the page you opened to Google; no cookies are set. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in up-to-date opening hours (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Google may transfer data to the USA; this is based on the standard contractual clauses and, where certified, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If the spreadsheet cannot be reached, the page shows the last stored times.
8. Google reviews (external link)
Our footer contains a link to our Google reviews. It leads to Google; the provider for Germany is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Nothing from Google is embedded — no script, no map, no review widget. As long as you do not click the link, no connection to Google is established and no Google cookies are set by us. Only the click opens Google's pages; from that moment on Google's privacy notice applies and Google receives, among other things, your IP address.
We only see the publicly posted reviews and the aggregate ratings Google provides. We do not receive data about individual visitors.
9. Social media
We run pages on Facebook and Instagram. When you visit our profiles, the platform operator processes data such as your IP address, device and usage data and any information you provide there. We have only limited influence on that processing.
The controller is Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses. As page operators we see aggregated statistics on reach and interactions, but no individual profiles; for this analysis we are jointly responsible with Meta (Art. 26 GDPR). The legal basis for our presence is Art. 6 (1) f GDPR (our interest in informing about our offer); you may object under Art. 21 GDPR.
No platform content is embedded in this website. A connection is only established when you click one of the links. The German version is legally binding.
10. Your rights
You have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany.
